When a celebrity passes away, it often takes us by surprise. That is how many people feel after the death of Susan Buckner at the age of 72.

Susan Buckner was an actress who was best known for the part that she played in the movie, Grease She also played in a number of other movies, and her family reported that she died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 2.

Her daughter, Samantha Mansfield, spoke more about her mother and told us that she was ‘magic.’ She went on to say that the ‘light she brought into every room will be missed forever.’

Buckner passed away in Miami and as of now, there has been no indication as to the cause of death.

She was born in 1953 and is known by many as Patty Simcox, the part she played in the 1978 musical film, Grease. She played in a number of other shows prior to that movie, including The Love Boat, the Brady Bunch Hour, and The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries.

The last film she was credited with was from 1981. Deadly Blessing was the name of the movie. She also was in Police Academy 6 in 1989, although she was unaccredited for that role.
