Strange Items That Almost Broke The Internet

When you are cleaning out an attic or perhaps going through some old boxes, it isn’t unusual to find items that aren’t easily identified. Sometimes, you have to reach out to others in order to solve the mystery.

We have a number of those items for you below that were so difficult to identify, that the internet even had trouble with them. Take a look at them for yourself and you may see that these are similar to some mysteries you may have.

1. Garage Sale

These strange items were purchased and a garage sale but nobody in the family knew what they were. They later learned that these were Mexican stirrups called ‘tapaderos’ and they were common in South America.

2. Grandpa’s Grabber

They found this strange object in their grandfather’s closet but couldn’t identify it. They leaned it was a device used to pick up small items.

3. Wooden Knob

This was a gift given at a wedding but they wouldn’t say what it was used for. After looking into it, they found out it was to hold cheese while cutting it.

4. Online Mystery

Someone ordered cookies online and two strange objects came in the box. They found out later that it was supposed to be a gag gift. You wear it around your ear and it looks like you forgot to take the Qtip out of your ear.

5. Only in Austria

A hiker in Austria found these strange objects in Innsbruck, Austria. They found out they were bollards that showed direction in that country.

6. Housewarming Gift

Someone got this strange object as a housewarming gift. What could it be? It turns out that it is a salt and pepper dip pot. How convenient.

7. Grocery Gift

Someone found this strange item when unpacking groceries from a local market. They later learned it was used to peel oranges.

8. Tin Tube

This item was found in an old jewelry box. It was hollow and open on both ends. It is a scarf holder, meant to hold the scarf without tying it.

9. Mystery Marble

This small item was at a grandmother’s home and could fit in your hand. Later, the grandmother said it was a paperweight.
