She Grew Up With Her Mother Telling Her She Was Ugly And Had A Big Nose

Life can be difficult at times and for some, it is a problem that they have had since they were children. This is not only an issue that occurs with everyday people, it can occur with celebrities as well.

One celebrity who has certainly had her fair share of difficulties in life is Jennifer Aniston. Most of us know her as the beautiful woman she is today, but we might not know just how big of a challenge she had as a child.

Jennifer’s mother, who is also an actor, did her best to raise a child but fell short of the mark in many ways. As she continued to fight for her marriage and see it slipping away from her, she took it out on little Jennifer.

Jennifer’s mother would actually point out all of the physical flaws of the little girl and openly speak them to her. She would tell her that she was ugly because her nose was too broad or her eyes were too far apart. She would also berate her for gaining weight.

As a result of these problems, Jennifer struggled in school and didn’t blend in as well as she would like. She had low self-esteem, and she thought she was awful, thanks to the way that her mother painted her as an individual.

She didn’t have a close bond with her father so she was dependent upon her mother, who was erratic, to say the least. Her mother even laughed in her face at one time when she responded with violence to her mother’s cutting remarks.

Jennifer also had to deal with dyslexia, so she had a difficult time learning at school. She struggled all throughout her academic career, and even wondered if her mother might have been right all along.

Eventually, she was able to land a job in Hollywood after getting her nose done. Her mother wasn’t very happy, and even though she had gained popularity on the sitcom Friends, she was still unhappy with her mother.

Her mother was still saying awful things about her in public, and she didn’t even attend her wedding with Brad Pitt. After years of being treated in that way, Jennifer feels that there was a silver lining to that dark cloud.

Despite the difficulties, she felt that she became the person she was because of the way she was treated by her mother. She said that her mother wasn’t intentionally mean, she just didn’t understand what type of pain she was inflicting on her daughter.
