She Bought A Homeless Man A Meal But Was Shocked To Read His Note To Her

Many of us who see homeless individuals don’t really give it much thought. We typically see them so frequently that we might even become callous to their difficulties.

On occasion, we may find ourselves feeling as if we want to give something to somebody in need. There are some people who do it on a regular basis, and others who do it occasionally when the mood strikes them.

For the woman in this story, a simple act of compassion turned into something that she never could’ve expected. She was at Dunkin’ Donuts and saw a homeless man picking up coins along the side of the road. He went into the store and started to count his money so she began talking to him.

Even though he only had about one dollar in change, he was annoyed that she was trying to engage him. She decided that it would be best if she bought him a coffee and a bagel and if he sat down and talked to her. He agreed.

It wasn’t long before an hour had passed the two of them had been talking the entire time. She had to get back to class and he wanted to give her a note. When she read the note, it would change her life.

Unfortunately, this type of story happens all too often but rarely ever gets to this point. When we see somebody who is less fortunate, we sometimes can’t understand why they don’t just get a job or try to make a better life for themselves, but we never really know what is going on behind the scenes.

Carrie Fisher, the girl in the story, was taking a break from her classes when she noticed the man and decided to do something for him. When he handed her the note, she shared it online because she knew that she had changed his life. The note also changed her life as well.

The note thanked her for being a beautiful person and letting her know that he wanted to kill himself that day, but her kindness changed his mind. We thank her for what she did and we thank her for sharing this online so that we can all benefit from it.
