Martin Mull From ‘Roseanne’ Has Passed Away At 80

The death of anyone is a sad event but it times, it may happen to someone who is close to us. This could sometimes include a celebrity that we may have known for years, such as Martin Mull.

Martin Mull was known for playing roles, such as what he did on Roseanne And Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Unfortunately, he passed away recently at the age of 80 and the world is going to miss his humor.

His daughter, Maggie Mull is a TV writer and comic artist. She confirmed his death, saying that he died at his home fighting a valiant fight against a long illness.

She went on Instagram to write: “I am heartbroken to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a valiant fight against a long illness.

“He was known for excelling at every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. He would find that joke funny. He was never not funny.

“My dad will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and coworkers, by fellow artists and comedians and musicians, and—the sign of a truly exceptional person—by many, many dogs. I loved him tremendously.”

He first started to become well known in the 1970s when he played on the Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman soap opera, and Fernwood Tonight. Eventually, he rose to even more fame in the 1990s when he played Leon Karp, Roseanne’s boss on her television show.

Some people may know him as Principal Kraft from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Or perhaps you remember him from his role on Arrested Development, which earned him his first Emmy nomination in 2016.

One person who stepped forward to honor him was Melissa Joan Hart, who starred with him on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She said:

“Rest in Peace my friend. The incredible #MartinMull (Principal Kraft) has left us for his eternal rest. I have such fond memories of working with him and being in awe of his huge body of work which before #SabrinaTheTeenageWitch included #Roseanne and #MrMom as the projects I knew him from.”

She said that she spoke with him about how he did his acting. “He once told me that he takes every job he’s offered just in case the train comes to an end, which in this business tends to halt quickly.

“He was an artist who liked to paint and build things with his hands, a musician and a wonderful man who I am better for knowing.”

We hope that his family is able to find peace during this difficult time.
