When someone we know passes away it can be a very difficult time in our lives. Sometimes, we may not even know them personally but we just know the things that they have done and we still mourn the loss.

That is how many people have responded after hearing of the death of Bernard Hill at the age of 79. His death was confirmed by his agent, and the Lord of the Rings star passed away on May 5.

Hill was one of the best-known characters in the movie that was famous around the world. He was often given praise because of the role that he played.

The film stunt team paid tribute to him and his fellow Lord of the Rings Star, Viggo Mortensen using a haka.

The Lord of the Rings was not his first time on the screen. In the movie Titanic, he played the part of Capt. Smith and was famous for going down with the ship.

He also played in Boys from the Blackstuff, although that was quite a few years ago. Even during his final days, he was involved in television.

Tribute is being paid by many on social media who speak about him as being one of the greats. Some praises came from fans and others from actors who had the privilege of working with him.
