Joanne Harrison, the mother of Rick Harrison from the popular TV show “Pawn Stars,” has recently filed a civil lawsuit against her son and other related corporate entities. The lawsuit revolves around disagreements regarding the assets and ownership of the Las Vegas company that was featured on the reality TV show.

According to court filings, Joanne Harrison’s lawyers have initiated the civil lawsuit in a Nevada state court. The lawsuit includes Rick Harrison, Joanne herself, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, Harrison Properties, and JoRich Properties as defendants.

Rick Harrison, well-known as “The Old Man” on “Pawn Stars,” has denied the allegations of mistreating his 81-year-old mother. The breach-of-contract complaint filed against him claims that Joanne had been married to her late spouse for an impressive 58 years.

The complaint alleges that Rick used undue pressure to persuade Joanne to give up the majority of her share in the pawnshop while she was in the hospital between 2000 and 2001. Despite these claims, Rick firmly maintains that they are false and unjustified.

In 2009, the History Channel aired a segment in which Richard Corey Harrison, the family’s grandson, and Austin “Chumlee” Russell, a close friend, visited the pawn store.

Following Richard’s death in 2018, Joanne Harrison acquired his 49 percent interest in the company. However, Rick Harrison has yet to provide her with a comprehensive financial report on the company.

Furthermore, Joanne asserts that she has been unable to obtain a full accounting of the cash and silver, totaling over $500,000, that her late husband allegedly amassed before his passing. As a result, she is seeking specific damages and a court order preventing Rick from accessing her funds and requiring all of Joanne’s possessions to be put into a trust.
