One of the most exciting times in our lives is when we have a new baby in the family. We wait for months to welcome them into the world and when it happens, there is nothing more beautiful to us.

When you have a baby, it is sure to be a surprise in some way or another. It could be in their personality or perhaps the way they look but children have a way of making us surprised in some way or another.

One mother who welcomed a new baby into the world is Rachel. She works at a truck stop in Tennessee as a cashier, and her son, Cash Jamal Buckman was born on February 17. Cash was healthy, but there was a surprise that caught her and her fiancé, Paul Buckman, off guard.

A photo was shared of the happy family on Facebook by the truckstop, congratulating Rachel and her fiancé for the new baby. It was meant to be a nice welcome, but there were plenty of comments and even questions as to the baby’s paternity.

The thing is, both Rachel and Paul are white but Cash is dark-skinned. That caused many people to wonder if the baby was even the biological child of Paul.

The truckstop decided to post a response, saying that Paul was the father. They went on to say that Rachel had African-American DNA that can skip generations and cause a baby to be born with darker skin.

They also mentioned that as a newborn, Cash had jaundice and they wanted people to be kind in the things that they said.

Despite the fact that the truck stop was there to defend her and the baby, there were plenty of people who had doubts. There were also some who joked about the situation.

One person wrote: “Congratulations!!! I AM sure he looks just like his dad. Where is he?”

Another added: “Definitely needs a DNA test; what if they accidentally mixed up the kiddos in the nursery?”

Some others were sympathetic to Paul, saying that he had been duped by Rachel. That is when she decided to post a DNA test to prove the fact that she had African-American DNA.

After posting the DNA test, people continued to comment and it blew up on social media. Thousands of people were sharing their reactions and their opinions, all of which were unwarranted.

Nobody is ever going to know the real truth of the story but there is one thing for sure, it did get a lot of attention.
